Underground Tricking
Underground Tricking is a company I created to bring trickers who are not well known in the community into the spotlight. Every week we pick new athletes to promote on our Instagram(@underground_tricking) to get them in front of 19 thousand people. Every week, New tricking samplers are made from a chosen athlete, and the video goes onto our website for forever. Profit is made from the joggers and hoodies that I added to the website.
The Simplest Of Things was a dropshipping company where bracelets and other men's accessories were purchased in China and marketed in the USA. This was my first attempt at gaining entrance to the business world, and one of the reasons I began learning more specifically about business.
The largest reason for The Simplest Of Things going under was a lack of work on my part. When I started I was under the belief that business was going to be easy. Turns out there are many mistakes you need to learn from first.
1. Drop the "Get rich quick" mindset
2. Learning is a process, every time you try something new, you need to gain experience
3. I did not understand cashflow
This naive attitude, combined with a lack of financial education led to the downfall of this company.
Candy Business
The Candyman was a business venture where I sold candy in school. This started in my last months of junior year. Currently, I have learned to expand my financial experience by providing capital for startups doing what I did, in return for royalties. I plan on expanding the businesses I do this for, as a young venture capitalist. This process is teaching me to invest and manage a team.
